A well-made scrambler is a truly amazing machine, and Rock Motorcycles' "Golden Brown" one could serve as a great definition for "scrambler perfection".
Based on a no-nonsense Suzuki Inazuma 750 machine with plenty of brawn to spare, and a creation brief which required only dual-sport tires and (obviously) laced wheels, Italy-based Rock Motorcycles went crazy. The good way.
Tore down to pieces, the Inazuma got a frame job, for the classic scrambler rear end and a new seat. Engine, frame, forks and other body parts got a new paint to evoke a retro look, with the exquisite satin golden brown livery marvelously matched to the rest of the machine, chrome and steel accents.
A drag handlebar came in place, but was rotated for a low-swung retro look. The Bates headlight dwarfs the tiny gauge. LED-lit in mesmerizing blue, this single-gauge dash may look retro but it is in fact a modern piece of technology, with a multi-function LCD and all.
Add in a custom 4-into-1 MotoGP-style exhaust and dual gas-charged rear shocks, retro fork gaiters ang high-performance petal rotors and you've got sport bike nerve with retro looks and off-road might. Who needs more?
