Suter to Unveil GP500-Like Two-Stroke Beast in Only Days

Initially scheduled for being unveiled on September 20th, the Suter's all-new, revamped 500cc two-stroke racing machine has been only showed in contre-jour. The bike will be displayed in all its splendor on September 29th, with info on what hides beneath its carbon fairing still being a thing of mystery.

What we can tell you is that this machine is a revamped, enhanced version of Suter's 2009 500cc two-stroke beast, but to what extent have the modifications gone is impossible to estimate. We've also learned that the bike will be ridden at the 2016 World GP Bike Legend events.

The new machine is rumored to be capable of producing around 200 horsepower from its V4 engine. Even though no name is mentioned on the micro website dedicated to this new bike, the name of the webpage reads "Suter MMX 500" so we might just see it surfacing with this commercial name.

And since we mentioned "commercial", this bike will apparently be offered to racing enthusiasts around the world, most likely on a made-to-order basis. Other Similar Suter creations that were supposed to sell under the Paton badge for just under £90,000 in 2012, which now accounts for around €125,000 or $140,000 across the pond.

Updated old-school engineering in a modern carbon racing suit

Suter have an extensive racing expertise in both MotoGp and other classes, so we can expect that their machine delivers more than what you'd get from other manufacturers in the sport bike business.

The photo Suter uploaded on the internet shows a full carbon-fiber fairing for the MMX 500, and this includes both fenders, front cowl and rear section, plus a carbon fuel tank. Visordown reports that the machine could weigh as little as 130 kg (287 lb) and if we factor in the power it is expected to produce, the result looks rather on the crazy side of things...which is a good thing for such a machine.

Catch up with us in 8 days' time for more on the upcoming 500cc two-stroke machine, and check out the sound of the Suter MMX 500 beast.
