Survive Winter in Style With the Luxurious Knaus Sun I 900 Motorhome

Officially, everywhere you look there’s snow in the Northern Hemisphere - or at least it should be given the date in the calendar. While city employees are plowing through streets making way for others to get to work, you have this motorhome that can make its way through whatever snowy roads you encounter.

What we’re going to be talking about here is known as the Sun I 900. And if you’re into motorhomes, campers, trailers, and the lot, this is one of those gems which you must take into consideration.

A quick introduction regarding who brings us this capable motorhome is required. Knaus is the team responsible for this behemoth of a vehicle. If you’ve never heard this name mentioned before, then you can’t really call yourself a true motorhome enthusiast. Why? Because this German team has been producing grade A motorhomes for over 60 years now. That experience is one of the main reasons why owners from all over the world have come to trust this brand.

As for what sort of products they can bring into your life, wow! Just take the Sun as the perfect example of the Knaus philosophy and design. Now, what you see in the photos uses a Fiat Ducato drivetrain with a 2.3-liter MultiJet 140 engine and front-wheel drive. Apparently, it’s enough to keep all the goodies you see in the gallery moving without any problems.

One of the main points of focus for the Sun was how to make it as tough against the winter environments as possible. Check out their long list of insulation and all that jazz by clicking the link at the bottom. I'm more of a comfort guy, not so tech-oriented - not about insulation anyway.

To give you a hint of how serious the team took their climatization techniques and design, this motorhome comes with a ten-year leak-proof guarantee. How much all this is going to cost is hard to say, as you’ll have to go through a dealership to get your own, and we all know middleman fees can be extravagant.

There are also two floorplans to choose from, but the only difference is that one layout has two beds at the back, while the other has only one. Nonetheless, both floorplans allow for only four guests. However, what you and your guests will encounter inside is a whole different story.

One of the goals Knaus had in mind when putting together the new 2021 Sun was to show off the very best of Knaus ingenuity. That said, one of the most notable features of this motorhome is its lighting. What the team did here was create a different idea of motorhome lighting - check out the video below as the designers can explain it a whole lot better than I can.

The second most notable feature would have to be, well, everything else. No, really, the way the entire interior flows together is absolutely delicious. One of the most important aspects of any motorhome would have to be, in my opinion, the kitchen. It’s no wonder I like Knaus motorhomes and trailers so much; they seem to have one of the most decked-out kitchens around.

Here we find a three-burner cooker with a glass cover for protection, a recessed stainless-steel sink with a faucet, and finally, a gigantic 46.8-gal (177-liter) fridge. Honestly, that’s larger than the one I currently own. Above the fridge, we can also find an oven available. Plenty of storage space, drawers, and even a glassware cabinet can be found.

For bedding, we have the following setup: while one bed can be housed at the rear, another is to be lowered from the roof over the driver and passenger seats, also occupying a bit of the dining room as well.

Finally, we have the bathroom. Personally, when I saw the photos in the gallery, I had a quick thought about reaching out to my interior designer and showing him what I want next. Just kidding. But for a motorhome, this bathroom is more than enough to keep everyone happy and clean.

A few other perks can also be found throughout the vehicle, like an outside entertainment center with Bluetooth headphones, USB sockets, 8-channel lighting control, and a whole smorgasbord of ideas and trinkets to play with or simply assist in making your life more pleasurable.

I don’t really have time to go through all that, and people just don’t read much anymore, so just click here and check out the goods straight from the source. But be warned, you’ll probably be sitting down for a talk with the spouse about your next possible purchase after that.
