The 2JZ six-cylinder engine from Toyota is known to be one of the most capable engines ever made. Not in stock mode, of course, I’m talking about modifying it a bit and achieving over 600 hp.
And it’s so good that tuners are constantly swapping their stock engines with the 2JZ on a wide range of makes and models. Just go to a Japanese car meet and make them open the hood. You’ll see a lot of dirty Nissans and Hondas with mad JZs under the hood.
Take this black Nissan 240SX for example. It has a 2JZ-GTE using factory internals, a huge Precision 7175 JB turbocharger, GSC S2 cams, custom exhaust and ECU.
The car is currently being fine tuned and recently went on the dyno to see how much progress has been done. You wouldn’t believe how much horsepower and torque the car is putting down now with only those mods. Check the video bellow and be amazed.
