The Nissan 240SX gifted with a custom 2JZ Supra engine is back again to test the new setup and put some times on the board.
Previously we’ve seen this black 240SX doing its first tests and tweaks on the dyno. The 2JZ engine still uses factory internal, but comes with a big Precision 7175 JB turbocharger, GSC S2 cams, a custom ECU and a rebuilt exhaust system. Sounds like it doesn’t has too much but the dyno runs returned numbers exceeding the 600 mark for both horsepower and torque.

As promised, the guys returned now with another video, this time on the drag strip showing us how the 2JZ-powered Nissan performs in real life. The car still rides on stock suspension and uses a rebuilt factory Toyota transmission built by ATF. The only other performance addition is a set of Mickey Thompson radials to put all that power down.

The stock turbocharged Toyota Supra tips the scales at 3,417 lbs (1,550 kg) while a stock second generation Nissan 240SX weighs only 2,762 lbs (1,253). This pretty much explains what you’ll see in the video bellow.

For a short comparison, the stock 240SX was fitted with a 2.4-liter DOHC 16-valves inline-four engine producing 155 hp and 160 lb-ft. A popular engine for swaps due to its strength, simplicity and availability, but not as good as Toyota’s bigger 3-liter 2JZ-GTE.
