If you've just bought a C7 Chevrolet Corvette and fancy to further enhance your brand new American sports car, look no further than Supervettes' future offering. The Stuart, Florida-based company just confirmed that its all-new SV7 wide body kit will be available to customers as soon as this fall.
In correspondence with the C7 Stingray Forum, the American tuner announced through Jason Hunkler, the owner and founder of Supervettes, that early models will be available for purchase directly through Supervettes, as well as their select network of distributors throughout the United States.
"Our dealers are the best at what they do, and we are excited to be releasing the best wide body kit for the C7 Corvette. This kit will rival the looks of the new Corvette Z06, and of course, you can increase the base HP of the C7 Stingray to well beyond the standard specs of the new Z06. The rendering below shows a sneak peak into what we are currently designing for the C7 Corvette Stingray, and below, you will also see the photos and videos of the scanning process."
Except a single teaser rendering, not much is known about the look of the future SV7 wide body kit. Price-wise, we expect the new kit to retail for at least $17,000 if made out of fiberglass, or $23,000 if you opt for carbon fiber. Our presumption is based on the fact that the Supervettes GT6X race car style conversion goes for similar money.
A Corvette fitted with the GT6X body kit is 5-inch wider than a standard ZR1. The full kit includes parts such as an all-new front nose, rear bumper, hood, front fenders, rear quarters, rocker panels, side skirts, rear wing, front splitter, exhaust diffuser, side marker LEDs, rear LED tail lights, aluminum grill inserts and an installation kit.
As for optional extras, the list includes a side pipe exhaust system ($2,495), Kooks LT headers ($995) and high flow cats ($350), as well as a number of wheel designs with prices ranging from $4,500 to $5,500.
Until we uncover more info on the future wide body conversion, we invite you to check the videos and photo gallery below to find out how the 3D scanning process for developing the Supervettes SV7 kit went.
