Sure, riding a bike is cool, but once you get off it and you have to walk around in your extra-protective leather suit you might see one or two fingers, associated with a few jokes, coming towards you. This is why, many choose to ride around in jeans. But if you happen to push the limit and end up caressing the asphalt, you will certainly feel the difference.
So what can you do? Well, a company called Oxford now has a solution for you: Kevlar-reinforced jeans!
Dubbed Superslides, the new jeans line, which was introduced at Motorcycle LIVE in the UK, includes two styles: SS1 Workman, which comes with a technical appearance, and SS2 Casual, which brings a a fashion-oriented look.
Here’s how the company describes its product: “The yellow stuff is Kevlar, made by Dupont. It’s one of those miracle materials (see Kevlar feature box). Only 100% Kevlar is used on SuperSliderz. Anything else is a cheap mix which won’t have the same protective properties. Avoid it, it’s a waste of money.”
