Supermodel Adriana Lima Uses Her Heels to Settle “Football vs Futbol”: Kia Ad

If you are reading this in the US of A, the debate on Football vs Futbol (Soccer) has a clear outcome for you: the first is some sort of a religion, while the latter is a big fuss over a ball. On the other hand, sports fans from other parts of the world would probably give up any discipline in favor of Soccer Football. The answer for this war has now arrived and it comes from South Korean carmaker Kia’s US division. Say ‘hello” to Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima.

In preparation for this year’s Fifa World Cup, which is scheduled to start this Thursday, Kia has released an ad which would probably turn a robot into a Soccer Football fan. The World Cup is being held in Brazil, so people are going to say that is why Lima was selected for this ad. Well, perhaps they are right, but does that really matter?

While you give that one a thought, you can also admire the supermodel’s... uniform. She does act bossy, so she must be some sort of a coach: black 10-inch heels and a rather spicy dress that’s just as black. Don’t worry though, Lima also wears the colors of the Brazilian Flag - look close enough and you’ll notice them.

Lima’s act involves her stepping out of a Kia Optima - there you go, we mentioned the car...

PS: the Brazilian puts on quite a show, but we still prefer Romanian-born Catrinel Menghia’s Abarth commercial when it comes to female authority in car ads. Or perhaps we’re wrong. We’ll never know, unless somebody decides to organise a match between the two. Penalty kicks on high heels, anybody?
