Superchips Introduces 2010 ECU Remap Offer

Superchips, an UK automotive electronics specialist, introduces an ECU remap line-up for a large pack of important 2010 model year cars.

The offer includes new firmware for 2010 vehicles that are equipped with the Bosch MED17 and EDC17 ECUs, thus including vehicles from brands like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, SEAT, Skoda, Volkswagen and Volvo. A total of 147 variants, that cover 51 cars belonging to 15 brands, are offered.

This process has taken many, many months of intensive activity by our specialists here in Buckingham,” said Superchips Managing Director Ian Sandford. “But the end results have exceeded our expectations and enable our many thousands of customers worldwide to enjoy the performance and economy enhancements of a Superchips upgrade, across a wide range of new machinery.

To get such a remap, users have to visit a center from the Superchips performance network, across the UK, where the company’s technicians will perform a firmware update on the car’s ECU. This operation is completed in an average time of 60 minutes. The tuner can upgrade both petrol and diesel cars. For example, a BMW 123D can gain a power increase of 50HP, a Golf VI 2.0 TDI can gain 33 HP and a petrol SEAT Ibiza 1.4 TSI can feature a power upgrade of 30 HP.

Superchips claims that, under normal driving conditions, the car’s fuel economy will see a 10 percent decrease after the ECU remap. The cost of such a performance upgrade is 445 pounds. The vehicle receives a 30,000 mile, 12 month warranty.
