Supercharged Lamborghini Huracan’s Whine Is the Sound of 800 Bulls Raging

Let’s take the Huracan from the video below, for example. The Sant’Agata Bolognese creation was supercharged by U.S. developer VF Engineering and now delivers an entire bouquet of intoxicating assets.

For starters, the bolt-on kit allows the Huracan to jump from 610 to 800 hp. This allows it to trample over multiple stock supercars that can throw a superior smile to the standard Huracan and we need to look no further than the Aventador to find an example.

Nevertheless, the aural side of the supercharged Huracan seems to be the trick here. In factory stock form, the Huracan has one of the most aggressive soundtracks in the supercar market.

While the naturally-aspirated voice of the V10 needs the more aggressive driving modes in order to truly surface (the valves keep things rather muffled in the Strada mode), the machine gun sounds it releases on the overrun are memorable.

Well, now you can add the supercharger whine to that and the video below allows us to get a decent taste of how the new mix sounds. The supercharged Huracan is being manhandled on The Termal Club track, with the blown V10 fully expressing its feelings and emotions in the process.

The supercharger kit we have here is dubbed VF800, pushing the 5.2-liter V10 from 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) to 610 lb-ft (827 Nm). While the main piece is an Eaton TVS2300 Roots blower that delivers a boost pressure of 7.5psi, the list of supporting mods sees the standard exhaust remaining on the car.

As for the drivability, the tuner explains its kit delivers a “punch of torque from 2,300 rpm,” which sounds just right for punishing those tires.
