And once they take the mid-engined machines down the aftermarket path, the time for drag racing comes.
A fresh example of this includes a 12C and a Huracan Performante that pack considerably more power compared to the factory models (we can't really call these "standard", can we?
The two exotics recently got together for a sprinting session, with their drivers choosing to skip the prepped surface of the drag strip and duke it out on the street.
They battled on two separate occasions, with the results being spectacular, as you'll get to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page. The clip uses angles coming from cameras mounted on both supercars, which means you'll be able to get a complete take on the matter.
As for the Woking animal, its twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 has received a Stage One turbo upgrade, a meth setup, a custom setup involving catless downpipes and a tune. Oh, and you should keep in mind that the Brit is 100 lbs lighter than the Italian.
It seems that both machines can deliver the kind of performance that matches that of the McLaren 720S, even though the newer Macca might just be slightly quicker. For instance, the 12C can pull a high-9s quarter-mile time, as you'll get to see in the video below.
As for the aural side of the brawl, the V10 of the Raging Bull still dominates the arena.
