The internet has taught even the safest of drivers about the simple, but illegal ways of street racing. You pull up next to the other driver and Mother Nature will facilitate a way of setting up a battle.
However, when the car you’re going up against turns out to be an undercover police vehicle, things aren’t all that simple anymore.
Every street racer has heard about it, but the guy in the video below provides a fresh example of such a situation. Putting his faith in the supercharger kit installed on his Nissan 350Z, the guy decided to take on a Dodge Challenger.
The guy in the muscle car doesn’t necessarily refuse the non-verbal proposal and yet he doesn’t follow suit either. Just as the Z driver passes him, the passenger in the Nissan starts a chat about how the Challenger R/T wouldn’t have any of the speeding shenanigans.
As the guy riding shotgun turns to film the Challenger, which had more or less kept its position, the Dodge turns on those infamous red and blue lights. Unfortunately, this is where the footage comes to an end.
According to the Nissan driver, he got away with it, as the cop wasn’t in the mood to give him a ticket. Depending on the state, things could’ve gone even worse than that, so this is one lucky driver.
While such police cars are labeled as “undercover” for a reason, we have to note there were a few clues to the vehicle’s law-enforcing aura. For one thing, anybody in the know is well aware of the Challenger’s popularity when it comes to such a role.
So if you make the wrong decision and stretch the legs of your machine outside the track, you should at least steer clear of Challengers.
