It’s not just rappers in the US who rent Italian exotics and Rolls-Royce cars to film their video clips, footballers in Europe do it too. Take 26-year-old winger Gareth Bale, who currently is playing for Real Madrid. This talented soccer star is, like so many others, fond of Lamborghini supercars. Since July, he’s been renting them from an exclusive dealer to keep him “warm” whenever he traveled in the UK. That had to stop, though, since it was physically hurting him apparently.
You may be thinking that paying around £30,000 ($45,000 at the current exchange rate) per year for an exclusive membership at this dealership in the UK is what made Gareth change his mind about occasionally driving Lambos in his homeland, but money is not the issue here. According to The Mirror, driving Lamborghinis is hurting the Welsh footballer's hamstrings.
It may sound much like a joke, but hurting any of the three tendons contracted by the three posterior high muscles or the muscles themselves can ruin an entire career for a soccer player. If Angelina Jolie insured her lips and Taylor Swift did the same thing with her famously toned legs, then imagine how much soccer players value their money-makers.
According to the source, Bale is no longer a club member of the Auto Vivendi Super Car Club, but the dealership’s representatives did not comment on the news.
In our own test two years ago, the Lamborghini Aventador seemed to be quite offering on the inside as much it is pleasant on the outside. The cabin provides enough space for both the driver and the passenger. The seats have a strong visual presence and are excellent on the track, and it felt like no friend sitting on the right would complain about them during a long trip.
As to the newer Huracan, although it comes with a multitude of enhancements compared to previous models that make it extremely handleable, we did find that the seats could’ve been less firm.
