When Russian motorcycles come into discussion, cool advertising for them might not be exactly the first things to come to one's mind. However, the Friends agency in the Russian capital Moscow proves that iconic Ural bikes can have top-notch ads.
The text accompanying these two prints is as short, in-your-face and full of direct meanings: “Routine, boredom, office slavery and chains of marriage – this is not about people who ride bikes. Ural motorcycle sets you free. It helps you get away from all this, and gives you absolute freedom.“
While some of the wives and in some cases, even some of the husbands, might find the “chains of marriage” objectionable, with a minimal effort of looking deep in one's heart, we believe that pretty much everybody will agree with the message of Ilya Torgovnikov, the copywriter for these prints.
When it comes to riding a bike, it's all down to the sheer pleasure of motorcycling, and the rest should matter less. Way less. We've enjoyed this video commercial for Ural just as much. Via MotorBiker.
