Super Bowl XLV MVP to Get a Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

American automaker Chevrolet announced today it will offer a 2011 Camaro Convertible to the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, on February 6. The MVP Award winner, determined by a media panel and fan vote, will be announced during the Super Bowl XLV Postgame Show on Fox. Fans can place their votes at the following link.

The Camaro Convertible will appear on the field during the postgame celebration in North Texas. In addition to the Camaro Convertible, the Super Bowl MVP will also receive the Pete Rozelle Trophy, a silver trophy made by Tiffany & Co.

"The new Camaro Convertible arrives in dealerships in February and will be a fitting reward for the MVP," said Rick Scheidt, US vice president of Chevrolet marketing. "It's a great opportunity for Chevy to have Camaro play a role on one of the world's biggest stages, the Super Bowl."

Going on sale this February, the Convertible model will be available in three different trim levels, namely LS, LT and SS, with a starting price of $30,000.

The standard version will be powered by a 312 hp Direct Injection V6 engine featuring a fuel consumption of 29 mpg (8.11 l/100km) on the highway. On the other hand, the SS model will feature the 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 426 hp. A six-speed manual transmission will be standard, with an optional six-speed automatic.

Camaro comes in ten exterior colors Black, Victory Red, Rally Yellow, Silver Ice Metallic, Cyber Gray Metallic, Aqua Blue Metallic, Inferno Orange Metallic, White and Imperial Blue Metallic and Red Jewel Tincoat.
