The guys from Electric Federal are back with another video about pure passion and engineering excellence. After watching them cover the evolution of the M3 and the Bavarian M2 wonder, I was more than excited when I saw this clip in my news feed on Youtube.
This time they’re focusing on a BMW E39 M5. However, as is the norm in their videos, it’s not, by any means, a stock model, even though that would’ve made for a just as good video with their editing skills.

No, this here is a Dinan E39 M5, one of just 30 ever made. As is the custom over at the American BMW tuner, the power output of this car was drastically raised.

The stock version makes 400 HP out of a 4.9-liter naturally aspirated V8 that sounds simply amazing. The Dinan kit includes a supercharger that takes that number up to over 620 HP without altering the brilliant sound of those 8 cylinders under the bonnet.

The suspension was also modified, alongside the brakes, the clutch was also changed, everything was done perfectly so that every component of the car is capable of handling the newfound power.

The E39 5 Series is already my favorite model in the entire history of BMW but this M5 is in a completely different leagues. “Dream Car” doesn’t even come close. Check it out!
