It all comes down to desirability and appeal towards the customers whenever carmakers try to boost or maintain sales at a steady level for one of their models.
That's exactly what Subaru is doing for the XV in the UK, where the Japanese brand announced it performed modifications and upgrades to the interior and chassis of its XV compact crossover.

Concerning the interior, Subaru worked on improving materials and adding a 7.0-inch touchscreen display and navigation system. The infotainment system offers a standard-fit rear view camera, for a wide 160-degree field of view behind the car when reversing.

Also, the cabin has a new instrument cluster and a screen with blue dials with new graphics while the central console, dashboard and steering wheel switchgear have been embroidered with piano black accents. On Lineatronic variants, Subaru replaced the old gear shifter with an redesigned one while adding new housing with metal and piano black accents.

For both front and rear suspension, the dampers have had their pitch rate lowered, which according to Subaru will translate into a "smoother and more comfortable ride than earlier models, while reducing roll slightly."

Besides that, a 10% quicker steering ratio (down from 15.5:1 to 14.0:1), requiring only 2.8 turns lock-to-lock.

What's more important for buyers, the upgraded Subaru XV won't suffer from price tag changes as the starting sticker of £21,995 OTR ($34,281 at current exchange rates) will be kept intact. The most expensive Subaru XV remains the 2.0D SE Premium version that starts at £25,995 (roughly $40,511 at current exchange rates).
