If you're a Subaru WRX enthusiasts and fancy a limited edition model, then you'd better pack your bags and head over to Japan, because the "Land of the Rising Sun" is about to get a special edition version of the high-performance Impreza.
Dubbed Subaru WRX STI tS Type RA or WRX STI tS Type RA NBR Challenger Package once the options pack is selected (what a waste of words, huh?), the Japan-exclusive sedan offers a bunch of performance and styling updates and comes in only three colors - blue, pearl orange and pearl white.
Performance upgrades include new STI suspension parts, Brembo braking system with gold calipers and an improved steering system, while the body gains a front lip spoiler, special edition badging and 18-inch black alloy wheels. Inside, the tS Type RA sports a new leather steering wheels, new gear knob with red stitching, sill plates and bucket seats.
Once the NBR Challenge Package box is checked, the WRX STI receives an additional carbon fiber rear spoiler, 18-inch BBS wheels, Recaro front seats and special NBR decals. Limited to only 300 pieces, the WRX STI ts Type RA will be available for ordering starting August 23 with prices between JPY4.4 million and JPY5.1 million. This means somewhere between $43,800 and $51,000, but, as we mentioned earlier, it won't be available in the United States or anywhere else outside Japan.
