What does one have to do in order to lap the Nurburgring and get from Bridge to Gantry with the vehicle in one piece? In theory, the answer is simple: an aficionado must show driving skill, Ring knowledge and adapt his or her pace to these two aspects. Nevertheless, things aren't all that simple when you're out there on the Green Hell.
We've brought along a piece of Nordschleife footage that backs up the point made above, with this showing the driver of a Subaru WRX struggling to keep the machine on track while talking a bend.

The curve in question is Kallenhard, whose configuration makes finding grip extremeley different in the wet. And there was plenty of water on the circuit when the Scooby we have here hit the track.

We can see the machine entering the bend at reasonable pace, with the car quickly losing grip. As the back end steps out, the driver pulls swift countersteer maneuvers, making it seem that he might just bring the vehicle back in line.

Nevertheless, the man chooses not to step on the throttle, which could've helped straighten up the car, but would've also involved a serious overcorrection risk.

Fortunately, the limited momentum of the Japanese toy means the vehicle managed to stops before hitting the metallic element on the side of the track, albeit only just.

And we can see the driver reversing his way out of the danger zone - most aficionados who find themselves in such a situation choose to turn the car around in that spot.

While we're at it, we'll remind you of a recent example of a Kallenhard spin, one that involved a Honda Civic Type R. Fortunately, the one behind the wheel of the hot hatch was just as lucky as the steering wheel wielder we have here.
