Subaru Unleashes 2015 Legacy Ad Campaign

Hot on the heels of the 2015 Subaru Legacy officially going on sale, Subaru has released three videos for the mid-size sedan’s kick-off ad campaign. While they might not be as exciting and sexy as the gymkhana-style spot that Subaru of Spain recently released for the WRX STI, these new videos are incredibly entertaining.
From the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive to the advanced driver assistance technologies like EyeSight, these spots help highlight the strengths of the 2015 Subaru Legacy in a lighthearted manner. Subaru has high hopes for its all-new Legacy in terms of sales looking for a 33-percent gain over 2013 (which sold 42,291 last year), and these ads should definitely help give the sedan charge strong out of the gates as they began rolling into showrooms this month.

The first video we’ll be seeing on television is the spot called “Passengers.” This might be the funniest of the three videos with numerous chuckle-inducing moments like the “I’m fine, dad” or the son laughing as his mom almost rear ends a car. This ad is definitely targeting moms.

Perhaps the funniest video of the ad campaign is “The Fix,” which helps to show the new Legacy in a cooler light. The dad in the spot does his best to make the Legacy look a WRX STI after the son’s radio-controlled car breaks. It actually looks like it could become a fun new sport.

Finally, “Jr. Driver” shows a kid experiencing the true joys of everyday driving, but it’s definitely not as cool as the banned Chevrolet Corvette commercial from 2004.

There is no indication as to when we’ll be able to catch any of these videos on television, but you can see all three spots posted below:
