Japanese automaker Subaru has released a batch of teaser photos for the brand new LEVORG concept, a sports tourer prototype scheduled to be unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show next month.
Subaru says the LEVORG name comes from “a combination of Legacy, revolution and touring” and describes the concept as a vehicle that “has a sports car feel, offering great drivability, plus safety and environmental credentials combined with the practicality of a touring car.”
The LEVORG will feature a newly-developed turbo 1.6-liter boxer engine, the company’s next-generation EyeSight driver assist system and the new steering support control. Subaru says the vehicle is under development for a production model that will be launched next year on the Japanese market.
Besides the LEVORG, the manufacturer will introduce two more brand new concepts at Tokyo - the Cross Sport design concept and the Crossover 7. The first one is Subaru’s vision for a future SUV, while the second one represents a seven-seater crossover.
