Subaru has just announced that it has refreshed and facelifted its Stella kei car, for the 2013 model-year. The updated car, gets a mild exterior body refresh, which brings it more up to date in the looks department, as well as optional LED tail lights and an updated instrument panel.
Also, as is the trend nowadays, the car also gets extra safety kit, in the form of a new ‘Smart Assist Collision’ which alerts the driver of an imminent obstacle or pedestrian. The suspension has also been modified for better comfort and road holding.
The car is still available with the same choice of engines, a naturally aspirated 0.66-liter unit and a turbocharged version of the same engine. Also, for added traction, the Stella is also offered with optional all-wheel drive, which should prove fun in a car of this size and shape.
The updated model goes on sale in Japan on January 5, 2013, with pricing yet to be announced.
