We've reached that time of the year when we start turning to world wide web memory for some of the most intense 2016 Nurburgring moments and the Subaru Impreza WRX STI action we have here certainly qualifies for such a tag.
The Green Hell episode we want to show you today involves a three-car STI crew that was trying to get from Bridge to Gantry as quick as possible. And before anybody asks if don't all have this goal when reaching the Nordschleife, allow us to point out that some people simply go around the infamous German track for the fun of it, with lap times occupying an extremely low place on their list of priorities.

Returning to the Green Hellish moment experience by the STI trio, the stunt we're dealing with is one of those high-speed moments that risks turning into a pile-up, with Ring near-crashes rarely getting more savage than this.

Fortunately, though, not a single panel is scratched in the process, even though the seats might need a bit of cleaning after such an intense moment.

Some of those who have never visited the Nurburgring and were imagining that minding your own business can keep you out of trouble during a tourist lap will change their opinion after checking out the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

If, however, you happen to be among them, but still want to lap the Nurburgring and are determined to do it by the end of the year, you should know that, according to the current public schedule, the Ring is open through the first weekend of December.

You can always fly from one vibrator to another in a rental car, but the hefty deductibles mean you'll have to be just as careful. After all, you wouldn't want to be the one pulling a $50,000 Nurburgring lap, would you? Heck, even a $5,000 Nordschleife lap would be a big issue, so it's best to do your homework and steadily increase the pace when reaching the circuit.
