Automotive enthusiasts have a new reason to celebrate, as the world of performance vehicles has just been gifted with a new interesting proposal coming from Subaru. The Japanese automotive producer is introducing a new range-topping, go-fast incarnation of the Forester.

Using the Forester tS designation, the vehicle is packed with STI goodies. We can tell you the STI bits are offered for both technical and visual areas. Under the hood of the Forester tS, we can find Subaru’s 2.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine.

The company hasn’t released the exact specifications for the unit, but we can expect the carmaker to use the same setup as the one offered for the Impreza WRX STI, which means that the new model would allow the driver to play with 300 hp. The powerplant is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The vehicle also promises to be a true performer through the bends, as it is fitted with a reworked suspension that uses springs, dampers and torsion bars.

The special incarnation of the Forester can be easily distinguished as it uses a new exterior package that includes new front and rear bumpers, redesigned side skirts, a roof spoiler, a rear diffuser and a modified front grille. The vehicle is also packed with custom badges.

The list of goodies also includes a new exhaust system with two generously-sized tailpipes and a set of fresh alloy rims. As for the interior, this offers a leather finish for the steering wheel, a Alacantra/leather finish for the sport seats, as well as carbon fiber trimming.

The Subaru Forester tS is offered on the Japanese Domestic Market for a starting price of 3,450,000 YEN ($42,433 or EUR30,500). The company has not mentioned if the vehicle will also become available on other markets.
