Subaru Forester Gets Added Value in Australia

The Australian division of Subaru announced today it is planning to further enhance the Forester’s All-Wheel Drive appeal to customers by adding an adventure-ready accessory pack. During the month of April, the Forester X models will feature extras valued at more than AU$2000 for no extra cost.

Forester X models are priced from AU$30,990 for the manual and AU$32,990 for the automatic version.

As with every vehicle in the Subaru range, Forester X variants have a five-star crash worthiness rating for occupant safety from the independent Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). Every new Subaru features dual front, side and curtain airbags, plus Vehicle Dynamics Control electronic stability system.

The car is fitted with a 2.0 petrol engine, capable of developing 150 horsepower and 196 Nm of maximum torque, and mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Forester X is ale to sprint from naught to sixty in 11 seconds and keep on accelerating until it reaches a top speed of 114 mph (183 km/h), while emitting 198 g/km of CO2.

Subaru is performing quite well in the Australian market, with Forester and Outback currently the best-selling models. Furthermore, the latter was recently named the best Aussie SUV under 40k, an award offered by several local publications, including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and Drive.
