Stuntman Attempts Inline Skating at 200 MPH Behind BMW S1000RR

Skating at 200 mph (320 km/h) sounds completely crazy, doesn't it? Well, not for Swiss stuntman Jürg Schläfli, who already is the fastest Guinness-certified inline skater of the planet.

Jürg was clocked at 186 mph (299.2 km/h) dragged behind a car, and he also managed a whopping 174 mph (279.9 km/h) record behind a bike.

September 2014 brings a new milestone attempt for Jürg Schläfli, as he will be towed a BMW S1000RR ridden by none other than Mrs. 200mph herself, Valerie Thompson.

Together they hope to break to 200mph barrier, with a special mount loaded on the back of the bike. The mount Jürg Schläfli will be hanging onto is a design evolved from the ones used until now, with the modifications triggered by the new speed he will be traveling skating at.

His skates are also modded with custom SKF ceramic bearings which must withstand the extreme rpm for the 8 wheels. The wheels spin at 100,000 rpm at 160 mph (257 km/h) and they must work under such conditions without overheating.
