We've seen the long-awaited and extremely brutal KTM 1290 Super Duke R concept wrecking havoc in a video teaser and it was instant love. With the launch date for that beast yet unknown, here's another nifty treat: Mirco Sapio's own design take on the 1290 Super Duke R.
If someone asked us, it looks like Sapio took from where KTM left off: while the rendering shows some of the elements we saw in the prototype, a ton of new ideas were implemented in a very compact and aggressive attire. And we like that!
Both the front and the rear end of the bike Sapio imagined are as astonishing as it gets and the liberal use of edgy lines is a feast for the eyes.
Since KTM have never been in good terms with roundness, we were not expecting Sapio changed this: his 1290 Super Duke R retains all the straightforward way to put things. We're happy to see more and more design ideas involving massive forks and new, creative takes on the headlight and air admission, and this is a really strong point in Sapio's Super Duke R.
Should KTM decide to embed some of Sapio's ideas in the future 1290 Super Duke R... well, that would be dreamy!
