There have been very few true superstars throughout our recent history, but the category was created for people like Dean Martin. He was, is and will always be undeniably cool and so are the cars that he drove.
A perfect example of ‘cool on wheels’, Dean Martin’s Chrysler V8-powered mega-rare Ghia L6.4. The car was built in 1962 and it is one of only 26 cars. Its extremely high price tag ($7,646 in the 1960s) this car was bought exclusively by celebrities, and very wealthy ones at that. Worth mentioning are Richard Nixon, Ronald Regan who also owned one which he lost in a high-stakes poker game with then-president Lyndon Johnson.

Dean Martin’s car is not stock. It has been given a going-over by the “King of the Kustomizers”, George Barris. The car gets black calfskin upholstery and a custom matching luggage set, a Nardi wooden steering wheel, oval headlights and chrome wire wheels. The Chrysler-sourced engine puts out 335hp and transmits it to the road via a 3-speed autobox, so it shouldn't be slow by modern standards.

The car is available for sale on eBay with a price tag of $199,500 (€155,000) so what are you waiting for? Sell your house. Still not enough? Sell your liver - don’t worry you’ve got two of them.
