When BMW announced the E92 M3 GTS model, its specs and price tag people said the Germans have gone crazy. Asking $145,000 for it seemed like a losing bet but over time, it proved to be just right. Nowadays, you can get a stroked unit for less money and with more power.
In standard guise, the GTS has 450 HP, and it’s a rocket around the Nurburgring, being seriously faster than the stock version. Considering the cuts that were made in terms of weight inside it, we’re pretty sure it was only natural.
The car we’re looking at here though is a bigger deal altogether. It has 550 HP according to the poster of the video and it only relies on the increased size of the engine to do so. The torque figure went up as well, reaching 528 Nm (389 lb-ft) of torque, an impressive figure considering the stock S65 unit made just 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.
Being built by the people from DM Performance, it was various other improvements as well. The bonnet is now vented while the interior received a roll cage, the front bumper a carbon fiber lip while the rear end now features a new boot lid with an accordingly huge wing on top of it.
The acceleration is absolutely monstrous and it has a perfect soundtrack to go with it all the way up to 280 km/h (174 mph) which seems to be its top speed even though we don’t have exact information in this regard. However, even though the top speed doesn’t seem like the main focus of this tuning, track performance being more of a concern. We’re pretty sure this thing is more than capable of a proper circuit.
