Year after year, the Nurburgring's cult status grows stronger, and while this means more and more go-fast machines stretch their mechanical legs on the Nordschleife, it also sees the 'Ring being lapped by contraptions that have nothing to do with flying from one vibrator to another.
Whether it's a blue collar machine that reminds us of the A-Team van, a coach or bunch of SUVs that kill their tires for no apparent reason, the Nordschleife doesn't disappoint.

You'll get to see plenty of oddball machines lapping the Nurburgring in the compilation below, with the 4:39 of the clip having a serious giggle-inducing potential.

However, the Green Hell nickname of the infamous German track should be taken seriously. From the elevation changes, which completely change the way in which certain corners feel, to the unpredictable weather that can affect even the most experienced of racing drivers, the Nurburgring has tons of ways on which it can bite those brave enough to set wheel on its tarmac.

If you happen to be among those who wish to take part in the Touristenfahrten (tourist days) events, we strongly recommend you to do your homework before hitting the 'Ring.

For one thing, you could start with this guide, which shows you how you should handle each of the corners. Once you've gone through this, you should also check out the 'Ring rules. You wouldn't want to end up like the GT86 racecar driver who had to saw off his seat to be allowed on the track, would you?

And if you happen to escape the claws of the track itself, you might just be attacked by what we like to call a Ring Wolf.

P.S.: You should know that damaging the protection elements on the side of the track means you have to pay for the repairs.
