Every year, the Nurburgring is assaulted by performance machines that are all too happy to stretch their mechanical legs on the infamous German track. Then again, the Nordschleife also welcomes all sorts of contraptions that have nothing to do with track days. Well, we are now here to show you some of the wackiest "racers" that have hit the Ring this year.
Thanks to the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, you can check out plenty of machines that delivered giggles to those who had come to the Nurburgring to take things seriously.

And here are a few things we need to point out after checking out the video:
  • As is turns out, you can smoke a bunch of go-fast toys using a Ram truck. Literallyy
  • The Ring marshals act as the local police, but even they have their superiors, which seemed to have build their US machines on a German platform (as many of you know, the Dodge Challenger features multiple Mercedes-Benz components)
  • The faux cabbie scheme is starting to look a bit old, so perhaps those willing to put a smile on our faces should start pursuing different paths
  • If your girlfriend agrees to ride along inside a Jeep that might just hate the Green Hell, she's definitely a keeper.
On a more serious note, the Nurburgring has closed its gates for the 2018 seasons earlier this month.

The track has already received multiple updates for the 2019 season, as showcased by a set of images released by the Ring management. However, since the rumor mill is boiling with chat about any potential dramatic changes in the layout of the circuit, we can't wait to get our hands on fresh info and bring this to you.
