Straight Outta Compton Hits the NASCAR Track at the Xfinity Series Zippo 200

We’re not saying we’re genuine fans of the genre, but if you were to Google any member of the Compton, California hip hop group N.W.A. you’d know how awaited this biopic is. In fact, it’s that big that Tomy Drissi will be driving the No. 26 “Straight Outta Compton – The Movie” Toyota Camry for JGL Racing this Saturday, at the NASCAR Xfinity Series Zippo 200.

From the hood to the groove of an NASCAR move. We were trying to find the proper rhyme for that, but as you can see it didn’t work out quite right. Alright, maybe the movie is not that big.

For those of you who don’t know, the Zippo 200 at The Glen is an NASCAR Xfinity Series that takes place in New York, which kind of makes things a little more interesting if you ask us.

As to the driver, you may well know that Drissi’s gesture has the regular marketing magic all over it. After all, the 56-year-old driver is not just a sportscar racer, but he also is an advertising executive in the movie industry.

Sure, that doesn’t mean the pro driver will not be enjoying the race. "This is racing at its best," said Drissi, according to Fox Sports. "The NASCAR guys are a great community . . . They really treat you like family. And the racing is as good as it gets. They race hard, and they race you clean. You can't ask for a better opportunity."

The biographical drama film directed by F. Gary Gray chronicles the background history of the group N.W.A., its members and the dynamics of their relationships with each other. And when we say dynamics, we mean anything from the band’s rise to success to the eventual disbanding.

In case you do decide to watch it, you should know it will be released in theaters August 14.
