When it comes to drag racing, BMWs are doing very well. This was never a problem, as the Bavarians always claimed their cars to be fast and they always delivered. Even today, with the new M6 and M5 models, despite people calling them ‘heavy’, they can still hold their own, pretty well.
A clear example is posted below. You’ll notice that the guys from DragTimes have no time for BS and once they get their hands on some Grade A cars, a drag race is bound to happen ASAP. So, when they met a 700 HP E63 AMG, they had to have a race.
The car they chose to pit against this monster was a stock BMW F13 M6. So, going over the numbers, you’d think the Bimmer has no chance even before the race starts. Well, don’t be so quick to judge. As you’re about to see, the M6 not only holds its ground but it’s also giving the Merc a run for its money, despite having 140 HP less.
