Still Sad to See the Honda S2000 Go!

Lament and weep all you want, but truth be told, cars like the RX-8 and Honda S2000 are basically dead right now. About the only way that the idea behind them can survive is by reviving them with hybrid technology.
It’s our opinion that such true and honest sportscars died a bit too soon. Only recently did we find way to have fun with them and now they’re gone with the oil. And to make up for the loss, Mazda and Honda are compensating the loss of their legends with miles of electric cable and luxury fittings.

You see, the idea behind these bantamweight fighters is already gone with the admittedly ridiculously high fuel consumption that brought their performance into this world.

But just looking at this picture by Adrs2k showing three of S2000 CRs makes us really sad for the world’s loss. They were too young! And no, we don't feel like the Toyota GT 86 is compensating enough.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
