Steve Tyler's Panoz Roadster AIV Selling for $100,000 on eBay

A celebrity owned, rare vehicle is currently up for grabs on eBay, offered for $100,000. The vehicle in question is a 1998 Panoz AIV Roadster, that has been previously owned by Aerosmith’s lead singer, Steve Tyler.The AIV acronym stands for Aluminum Intensive Vehicle, due to that fact that it’s approximately 70% aluminum.

Only 300 such vehicles were ever produced, and are not made anymore. Powered by a a Cobra V8 DOHC 32 valve engine producing 305 hp and 300 lb.ft. (410 Nm), the vehicle now on sale has an extremely low mileage. Specifically, this car has clocked just 9,103 miles (14,350 km) so far.

According to the seller, Tyler himself signed the engine. He also allegedly damaged the driver's side door and it was replaced. Finished in bright yellow, this Panoz AIV Roadster is a true eye-catcher.

“Yes, THE Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and American Idol -- bought this incredible car new in 1998,” the advert on eBay reads. “It's had maybe two owners since Tyler had it. I rarely drive it but it's a real collectible, and when I do drive it, it's a BLAST. The car has a top that buttons on but I've never used it. Nothing wrong with the car at all that I'm aware of. It's ready to rock. I LOVE this car and will only part with it for $100,000 or more, else I'll just keep it.”
