Steve McQueen is so cool that they even named a cartoon character after him (be honest Pixar!), so whatever vehicle he’s associated with will sell well and make people happy. Everything he touched is going for big sums at auctions, and companies are still making new products sporting his name.
According to Motorcycle News, Triumph is getting ready to show us a Steve McQueen Edition of the retro-looking Bonneville, of which they plan on making only 1100 examples. The bike will be made to resemble the one the film star rode in “The Great Escape”, so an army theme and rough looks are a given.

The McQueen edition will have a flat green paintjob, seating just for the rider and a copy of his signature on the oil tank. Expect more details to be announced, including pricing, when the bike is revealed at the 2011 EICMA Show in Milan.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
