About two months ago, Stern Pinball and Ford Motor Company have announced plans to create a special Mustang pinball machine as part of the pony's 50th Anniversary celebrations, which are scheduled to commence this April.
Today, the Blue Oval automaker revealed that the pinball machine will make its official debut at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show later this month, when Stern will unveil three new Mustang-themed games.
Designed for arcades and other public spaces, the new machines will feature the redesigned 2015 Mustang, the Boss 302, Boss 351 and Boss 429, as well as the original 1965 model, thus paying tribute to 50 year of Mustang. Champion pinball player Zach Sharpe will be on hand in Chicago to demonstrate the game and set benchmark scores for visitors and journalists to challenge.
“For five decades, Mustang has represented some of the best of American culture, inspiring a feeling of freedom and independence for people around the world,” said Steve Ling, Ford car marketing manager. “We’re excited to have Stern Pinball join us here in its hometown of Chicago with its brand-new games featuring Mustang.”
