MotoGP LCR Honda star Stefan Bradl has been working closely wth Dainese over the past years helping them develop the D-Air rider airbag.
Created as an additional safety system to add even more protection to racers, the Dainese D-Air is slowly but surely making inroads in "civilian" riding, as well.

The German rider says that one of the biggest challenges was to "teach" the airbag controller to be able to tell the violent side-to-side movements and mid-turn g-forces from the uncontrolled behavior of the rider an bike during a crash.

Even more, the system had to anticipate the crash scenario and be able to fully inflate the airbag before the impact. So far it looks like Dainese's D-Air done its job pretty well and is capable to provide consistent protection for everyday mishaps, too.

Now we're waiting for lower prices...
