Driving a high-performance model on the streets of your city can sometimes make the police officers raise and eyebrow, especially due to a couple of parts that may not comply with local regulations. This is exactly the case of the HKS GT570 Racing Package, which isn't considered quite street-legal in some regions of the world. Because of that, HKS today rolled out the street-legal flavor of the package, the so-called GT570 Sports Package which includes a couple of new parts, bring it closer to regulations around the world.
According to gtrblog.com, the package is compatible with both series I and series II GT-R and will be sold for approximately 913,500 yen (approximately $9,820) in Japan. This means the new package is 315,000 yen ($3,387) more expensive than the Racing Package.
Here are the parts included in the HKS GT570 Sports Package (as translated by the aforementioned source):
The Street Legal and the Racing packages provide almost the same outputs as you can see for yourself in the attached graphs, but the tuner did not mention how much power the new package brings to the standard model. But even so, the aforementioned price tag seems to be a bit too high, taking into account that it is especially addressed to street use and not to racing events.
