Apple advertised the latest version of its mobile operating system, iOS, at this year’s Worldwide Developer Conference. Instead of just bringing news for tech enthusiasts, the update will also feature elements that will help drivers with their daily routine.
According to those that have installed the developer version of iOS 10, the next version of Apple Maps, included with the update, will remember where you parked your car.

Regular Apple users will have to wait until this fall for the unveil of the feature, when iOS 10 will be available for download. The new "trick" learned by Apple Maps is not new, as it already exists in apps like Waze.

In the meantime, do not try to download the developer version of the operating system from Apple if you are not specialized in the field, as it is unrecommended if you are not a developer. A public beta version will be launched this July, and the final version for the public will come this fall.

According to AppleInsider, the feature works by remembering a vehicle’s location at the end of a trip, but only if it does not stop at the user’s home address. Once parked, the user will see a pin on the map in the location of the vehicle, and users can edit it for a more accurate location.

Once Apple Maps is opened again, the parked car will pop up as a recommended destination in the app. If the user has enabled the new widget feature on the lock screen, the “Parked car” option will be present there so that you can get directions to your vehicle with just a few taps.

The update to iOS 10 will allow developers to integrate more elements into their apps, as well as linking apps to perform complex tasks. For example, users will be able to search for a restaurant in a particular area, book a reservation, arrange a car to pick them up, and even pay for the trip without opening another app. This functionality will come in the form of extensions from third-party apps for the iPhone and iPad.
