Land Rover customizers Startech have just shown the first teaser photos of a project called simply the "Nobilis". It promises to be one of the most interesting SUVs in the world, and its debut will happen at Auto Shanghai 2015, a bit over a week from now.
As you all know, Startech specializes in Range Rovers in much the same way as their sister company Brabus does Mercs and Smarts. But they've been presented with untold opportunities by the fact that a long-wheelbase version of the RR has just been launched.

With extra legroom in the back, it's the perfect vehicle to turn into a mobile office, a bit like the Brabus iBusiness. You have tablets integrated into a new divider and probably a lot more toys than we can see.

The Nobiles has been equipped with a sliding screen and curtains, so it's like a limousine that can go off-road. But it's not as mind-blowing as the iBusiness we saw at the Geneva Motor Show.

On a personal level, this editor disagrees with this type of vehicle. Not only are you going to miss out on the driving experience, but the soft suspension and substantial body of the Range Rover LWB could make you sick if you can't see in front. Still, there's probably huge demand for it; otherwise Bentley wouldn't be trying to make its uber-luxury SUV.

Here's what you need to know about the Range Rover LWB. It's available with either a 340 hp SDV8 diesel or a 510 hp supercharged V8. In exchange for £102,140, you get an SUV that's 200mm longer between the axles. Sure, a Mercedes S-Class or Jaguar XJ might be better on the road, but some people just need to have an SUV.
