STARTECH Jeep Grand Cherokee

The accessories program especially developed for Jaguar XK and XKR models was not the only package brought by STARTECH at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show. The tuners also took the opportunity to present their latest interpretation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Not only did the SUV went through serious modifications in design and styling elements, but STARTECH also worked a bit on improving its performances, managing to boost the 3.0 CRD engine to 262 hp and maximum torque of 580 Nm, instead of the stock version with 218 hp and maximum torque of 510 Nm.

STARTECH also used a special suspension kit that lowers the ride height of the Grand Cherokee by 30 millimeters, which improves handling and cornering. That's also thanks to the 22-inch 'STARTECH Monostar IV 22' wheels wrapped in low-profile Pirelli Scorpion tires. The front axle features size 9Jx22 wheels with tires in size 265/35 R 22, while the wider rear axle uses a combination of size 10Jx22 wheels and size 295/30 R 22 tires.

Moving on to the exterior styling, the Grand Cherokee boasts a new high-end vision, thanks to the new front spoiler with integrated LED daytime running lights in ‘Black Line’ design, a special rear apron that features cutouts for the two oval-shaped chrome-plated tailpipes of the STARTECH sport exhaust system and a STARTECH rocker panels with integrated LED lights.

Some new interior design elements are also part of STARTECH’s kit, with the accessories list now ranging from a speedometer bezel with brushed aluminum design to aluminum pedals and door-lock pins to polished stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated STARTECH logo.
