The two Bolt motorcycles recently unveiled by Yamaha's cruiser brand Star are detailed in this very nifty video, showcasing the main features and the most important elements in the design of the machines.
Created as an urban mobility solution, but eager ti ride some twisting countryside roads, the Bolt and Bolt R-Spec are among the first ones to bring true modern design in this segment often dominated by conservative ideas.
While making no compromise in terms of performance or comfort, the Bolts manage to update the styling with a more contemporary approach to simplicity and functionality. The absence of all the usual trinkets some might have expected with these bikes is backed up by the “bare necessities” principle and the result is really appealing for both new riders and those in search of a new bike.
While we kind of doubted Star's “Less is more” slogan used to teas the Bolts, we now understand perfectly how things went... and hope this is the new direction Star are planning to develop their new bikes, too.
And yes, we totally love the way Star use lady riders in their promo feats: a great way to approach the customers, unlike this one.
