Stanced Toyota Carina - 172 Inches of Head-Turning Straight Lines

If you ever plan to customize your granny’s Toyota Cressida you better pay attention to what this guy, Nagahama-san from N-Style, Japan, did to his. His car is mostly used for drifting, but if you just want to look cool on a low budget, you can easily skip the roll cage and other performance parts.

In case you haven’t figured out yet, stance and a bit of negative camber always scream for attention, so you should definitely start with a low suspension (or an air one if you got the money, to help out with speedbump climbing).

Then choose some deep dish rims, not too big, but make sure you find some narrower tires to stretch on them and give it that JDM look.

For the exterior you should definitely go for a two-tone setup. Try working out with some brown shades like Nagahama did here, or red with gray, green and black or whatever people were using in the ‘80s. A big front lip spoiler will make sure your Carina will stand out while the rear bumper can be easily removed for an authentic look. You can also stick some Japanese kanji on the sides, but make sure it doesn’t mean something ridiculous and don’t exaggerate with the dimensions - make it discrete.

Inside you can let it all stock, but for more appeal try replacing the steering wheel with a three-spoke one and you should also look for a replacement gear shifter.

If you do it right, you can end up with something looking as good as this ride featured by SpeedHunters here in the photos.
