Although it’s not known by many, the Toyota 2000GT is among the best couple classic sportscars ever made. They’re so rare that the Jaguar E-Type would die of shame sitting next to one.
Still, even better and rarer than that is the 2000GT Convertible, a one-off model specially made for the James Bond movie “You Only Live Twice.”
Of course, a 2000GT cabrio and stanced is probably the best thing you can have in this life, but that’s like giving the last Twinkie on Earth (if there is such thing) to a dog... stupid and pointless.
So, until someone builds an exact replica of the 2000GT cabrio and stance it properly, we’ll have to get along with this 1:18 scale model. The diecast appears to be from AUTOart. The guy took the already limited edition movie convertible model and did some tricks to the suspension and wheel hubs to accommodate those deep dish Watanabe wheels.
The model appears to have been sold on an auction website for around ¥16,000 (around $150).
