Sssh! A New BMW is Blogging

Do you remember how, when we were all children and our parents used to tell us not do to this or that, because an awful thing was going to happen? Do you remember how, as soon as the opportunity presented itself, the first thing we did was exactly the thing our parents told us not to do?

Well, this is pretty much how this is going to go down. People with nothing better to do that sit and surf the web discovered these days a new blog in the galaxy, called dontblogaboutthis.com. The blog, especially created to be blogged about, of course, is just like any other blog, but hides something which just might become even cooler than the Lotus premieres for the Paris Auto Show this October.

Apparently, the blog in question is owned by BMW. In it, a few photos and two videos of a very intriguing BMW 6 Series. Of course, no details about the car presented are available, but we snooped around a bit, worked our Photoshop magic some more and this is what we have.

What you see is indeed a BMW 6 Series, or at least the body of a 6 Series. A partial body, one which is, if you like, just the incarnation of a new generation of EfficientDynamics technologies. The concept, which will be shown at the Paris Auto Show
will borrow, according to our sources, much from the Vision EfficientDynamics which rocked last year's Frankfurt Auto Show.

There are a few tell tale signs which point to the fact that our source is right. First, if you take a look at the front end of the car (which had to be uncovered by using complicated “add brightness” techniques), it is strikingly similar to the one of the Vision.

Secondly, the skinny wheels on which the 6 Series has been put on have also been inspired by the wheels of the Vision. And, finally, listen to the noise make by the car as it rolls down the street. Or, for that matter, lack of noise.

So, we are to expect a hybrid model which employs both new and older technologies. The possibility that this is an electric model is ruled out by the fact that the car features one exhaust pipe. Except if it was put there to mislead...

As you know, the Paris Auto Show is just around the corner, so it's likely we'll get more info on the car depicted here as time passes.
