More class is something every convertible driver wants. After all, nobody wants to be seen in a Nissan Micra. That's why BMW moved its 3 Series coupe and convertible to a class above, making them into 4 Series models.
The platform is still the F3x, shared with the 3 Series models, but the design is slightly different. For example, we know that under that front end camo, new Air Curtain blades are hiding.
Speaking of camo, some of it has come off this 4 Series Convertible, codenamed the F33. Test engineers are thus allowing us to see the complicated metal roof all 4 Series models will have.
The 4er convertible will be built in Regensburg along the Z4 starting this November and will be available at launch with only two engines, the 428i with 245 HP from a 2.0-liter four-pot and 435i with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo producing 306 HP.
