The SRT Viper, one of the most acclaimed American performance sportscars, is about to become available in Europe as well... although not official. While Chrysler still doesn’t want to sell their V10-powered musclecar on the Old Continent, the German folks over at Geiger Cars have announced plans to import the all-powerful Viper.
However, buying one of these vehicles from the Munich-based US car specialist won’t be cheap at all, as the price is almost double that what the “snake” fetched on its home market. Price at $97,395 in the US, the SRT Viper will cost €139,900 ($180,000) when purchased from Geiger Cars.
The first SRT Vipers were already shipped to their North-American customers back in March, but the German importer hasn’t revealed when the first vehicles will arrive in Europe.
Powered by an 8.4-liter V10 engine that delivers 640 HP and 600 lb-ft (814 Nm) of torque when connected to the six-speed manual transmission, the new SRT Viper can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than four seconds and hit a top speed of 206 mph (331 km/h).
