Chrysler’s SRT performance group will be documenting its first full season with the 2013 Viper GTS-R in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) with a new behind-the-scenes web series.
Called “Beyond the Checkered Flag”, the series will follow the SRT Viper GTS-R race team throughout the 2013 ALMS season to “deliver the sights and sounds” from the track. The first episode, scheduled to air in mid-May, will showcase the team’s preparation for the 2013 season, prior to the 12 Hours of Sebring.
As a reminder, SRT Viper GTS-R will be fielding two cars in this season’s ALMS. The no. 91 vehicle will be driven by Dominik Farnbacher, Marc Goossens and Ryan Dalziel, while the no. 93 car will be raced by Kuno Wittmer, Jonathan Bomarito and Tommy Kendall.
The 2013 ALMS season is scheduled over ten events and has already started on March 16. The third race of the season is set to take place on May 11, at Laguna Seca. Until the next event, check out the 2013 ALMS season trailer released by DriveSRT on Youtube.
