The Mercedes S-Class is and has been widely regarded as the best luxury car in the world. While that statement may be questionable when comparing the current (aging) S-Class with its more youthful rivals, the all-new model is coming to set the story straight.
It has been recently spotted by youtube user Indoorkartingbcn somewhere in Italy (judging by the number plates of the parked cars) and we really like its lower stance and more muscular lines than its predecessor’s. While it may still be covered in camouflage, aside from the lights, pretty much every other detail is visible, and we must admit that we like what we see and are really looking forward to seeing it in its final form.
This particular example sounds like it could be an S250 CDI, with start stop (audible if you pay attention), the most economical model in the range, as the current 250 returns an excellent 5.7 l/100 km (41.25 US mpg / 49.5 UK mpg). Also bearing in mind that the new car will be lighter, more aerodynamic and even more efficient, we could see this figure go even lower.
